Position Summary
We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker's / Retail Sales Associate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as: work location, qualifications, and experience.

- $14.00 to $17.00 per hour
- Commission structure paid for every transaction processed; earn commission based on productivity (UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.23 per hour on top of hourly rate).

Sick/PERSONAL: 8 hours after 6 months, 16 hours per anniversary thereafter (years 2-5), 24 hours after five years (adjusted for local requirements).

- Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Perform open/close procedures and maintain a clean, stocked sales floor with properly displayed merchandise.
- Conduct sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements; handle cash and negotiable items per policy.
- Answer incoming calls and communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions; collaborate with coworkers to deliver a positive customer experience.
- Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be willing to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
- Minimum Age: 18;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; strong customer-service orientation and teamwork. - Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math; cash handling experience preferred.
- Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays; computer literate; able to operate POS systems.
- Must be able to work in multiple locations as needed.

- Commission Plan Information:
Pawnbrokers have potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance; details provided during interview. - Arbitration agreement may be required; payrates will not be below local minimum wage requirements.
