Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate all service calls.
- Open, post, and close all SROs (Service Repair Orders).
- Ensure service technicians are at least 80% – 85% billable.
- Submit warranty claims and follow up to ensure factory pays claims.
- Handle all shipping and receiving duties.
- Answer all incoming service department calls with minimal consultation with mechanics.
- Cold‑call old customers to schedule service work and retrieve old files for review.
- Assist in keeping all shop expenses to a minimum.
- Maintain technician log hours of billable and non‑billable work to identify efficiencies and cut costs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Assembly experience preferred but not required.
- Basic reading skills.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Customer service orientation.
- Computer navigation and utilization skills with excellent Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems and develop new concepts or ideas.
- High attention to detail, time management, and self‑motivation skills.
