Job Title: Regional Account Manager
Location: Odessa, TX
Type: Direct Hire
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Develop and grow sales within the assigned territory, focusing on customers such as Owner Companies, Engineering Firms, Construction and Installation Contractors, and OEMs.
- Drive continued sales of traditional products while generating growth through new, strategic, and custom solution offerings.
- Develop, implement, and execute an annual sales plan for the territory.
- Report weekly progress, opportunities, and challenges using the SAP CRM system.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across customer organizations, from executive leadership to plant-level end users and installers.
- Analyze customer cultures to identify opportunities and strengthen partnerships.
- Maintain technical proficiency in the company’s products and services, as well as industry knowledge.
- Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives, Technical Service Representatives, Engineering Team, and other operational support personnel.
- Travel overnight as required to support business needs.
- Manage Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs, including proposing, negotiating, and servicing agreements.
- Maintain professionalism in interactions, appearance, and timeliness.
- Promote teamwork and participate in relationship-building events.
- Monitor competitor pricing and product offerings; apply Total Cost of Ownership principles.
- Complete required certification work and actively foster the company’s brand.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year degree required). Technical degree preferred.
- 5+ years of outside industrial B2B sales experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with SAP Business System software preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Experience with CRM systems.
- Understanding of company policies, quality systems, and strategic plans.
- Effective communication, adaptability, market analysis, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel within the region using a personal vehicle and conduct presentations.
- Commitment to continuous personal and technical development, including teamwork, self-awareness, and influence.
- Ability to communicate verbally on a regular basis.
- Adequate vision and hearing for job functions, including close and distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
