Position Title: Construction Equipment Sales Representative

Location: Odessa, TX 79764

Reporting to: Sales Manager

Department: Sales

This position will focus on cultivating new sales and rental opportunities with new and existing accounts. Developing new relationships with key user groups including construction equipment users, contractors and local associations will be critical.

• Actively market equipment and generator rental units to customers across all branch territories, and assist in coordinating efforts of existing company rental salespeople.
• Travel overnight as needed for sales and marketing activities, scheduled in advance or occasionally last minute.
• Be accessible via cell phone 24/7 for emergency assistance to rental customers and/or the company branches serving them.
• Other responsibilities such as driving and/or overnight travel as designated by and at the discretion of management.

• An undergraduate degree (preferably in business or a related subject), or
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience with sales in the field of heavy construction equipment.
• Solid understanding of construction equipment design and usage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to initiate, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks independently.
• Possess strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Explorer, etc.).
• Excellent negotiating skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive working environment.

This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
