Sales Representative – BPU
Company: Lufkin US Acquisition Company LLC
Location: Odessa, US
This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.
Responsibilities- Has superior knowledge of products and applications and can effectively communicate our value proposition.
- Uses product and application knowledge to propose solutions that solve customer problems.
- Adds value to relationships with new and existing customers.
- Identifies prospective customers and understands their business needs and drivers.
- Continuously updates and maintains contacts, leads, and opportunities in the CRM program.
- Contributes to a sales culture that fosters collaboration across teams to create a best‑in‑class customer experience, develop new leads, and fully develop the business.
- Maintains written, measurable sales plans for accounts in the assigned region.
- Contributes to achieving or exceeding sales revenue goals for product line and accounts in the region.
- Maintains professional relationships with appropriate contacts at the office, field, and technical levels to identify decision makers, influencers, and coaches in customers’ organizations.
- Maintains and works to achieve a rolling 3‑month forecast.
- Evaluates market trends and competitor intelligence that might affect current or future sales growth strategies in the region.
- Driven to win.
- Process and data‑driven – capable of using data and facts to communicate value.
- Personable, capable of building lasting customer relationships.
- Strong industry network.
- Good knowledge of customers and markets served by Lufkin in the region.
- Grow sales revenue for the product line in the region.
- Partner with other Lufkin product lines to identify and close cross‑product sales and packages.
- Use customer service skills to ask, listen, and act on customer concerns or needs.
- Utilize interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, building relationships and a professional network.
- Apply internal drive and confidence to continuously grow sales revenue.
- Effectively communicate features and benefits of products to potential customers based on their needs.
- Develop pipeline to advance current quarter sales initiatives and update forecasts.
- Travel within the region as required (up to 25% of time, occasionally overnight) and rarely outside the region (less than 10%).
- Meet with customers at various levels to evaluate service quality, uncover competitive threats, and identify new sales opportunities.
- Provide support and guidance for proposals and quotes to strategic key or growth accounts.
- Provide account updates to service center managers in the region.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) preferably in Business or STEM field or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of Oil & Gas production segment experience.
- Ability to work with cross‑functional teams to achieve sales goals.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple initiatives and activities simultaneously.
- Proficient with MS Office and CRM (preferably Sales Force) systems.
- Excellent verbal, written, time‑management, communication, and presentation skills.
