- Build quality business relationships with new and existing accounts
- Conduct daily face-to-face sales meetings with distributors, resellers, and agents
- Identify existing customers with high growth potential and create development roadmaps
- Identify new business opportunities and complete sales planning schedules
- Use strategies to win new business continuously and consistently
- Engage in consultative selling and provide Portwest solutions to customer needs
- Develop written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers
- Sell new Portwest products by bringing samples to meetings
- Follow up after meetings to close sales
- Develop market intelligence through trade shows, seminars, exhibitions, and journals, and feed findings back to the business
- Promote distributor promotions on Portwest products with end users
- 2-5 years' experience selling PPE, workwear, or safety wear
- Experience selling on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor, reseller, or agent
- Sales experience in a related industry such as automotive, tools, chemicals, or MRO
- Drive to continue Portwest sales growth through field sales
- Clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the designated region
- Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Positive attitude with a winning mentality
- Excellent team player
- Right to live and work in the relevant jurisdiction
Demonstrates expertise in consultative selling and relationship building, with a strong focus on driving sales growth in the PPE and workwear industry. Proficient in developing proposals and market intelligence to support business objectives.
