Pay and Schedule

$25.00 per hour, full‑time (Afternoons & Evening shifts available).

Requirements
  • 21 years or older
  • Minimum 5 years of Armed Security OR 3 years in Law Enforcement, Corrections or Military experience
  • Active Level III Armed Security License
  • Ability to stay alert and focused during shifts
  • Strong communication and observation skills
Responsibilities
  • Ensure high quality security services to protect people and property
  • Perform security patrols on foot or by vehicle of designated areas
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  • Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons
  • Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
  • Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure authorized removal of property per client requirements
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders
  • Make productivity and cost‑reduction recommendations to management
  • Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders
  • Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both orally and in writing
  • Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and premises
  • Maintain familiarity with site‑specific operations performance manual and post orders
  • Use glass‑break tool when necessary to rescue people stuck in hot vehicles
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers and weapons qualifications
  • Willingness to be trained on, carry, and utilize a Taser and baton
  • Minimum of three years military, law enforcement or corrections officer experience
  • Minimum of five years employment in an armed security role
  • Minimum of four years armed experience if currently employed with Allied Universal
  • At least 21 years of age, or higher if required by the state
  • Maintain proficiency in all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and respond to assignments with little notice
  • Ability to operate radio, telephone equipment or console monitors
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Problem‑solving, active listening, conflict mediation, critical thinking, research, and writing skills
  • Attention to detail and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Service in a Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security, or Combat Zone support role
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy or equivalent experience in law enforcement, adult corrections or firefighting
  • Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice
  • Minimum of eight years service in any military branch
  • Associate's degree or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with active or prior military service
