Security Officer Armed Driver Field Patrol in Odessa, TX – As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a busy retail location, helping to deter security‑related incidents through a visible presence, strong communication, and professional customer service.

This is an armed and driving post, where you will support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and reliability while responding to situations with confidence and care.

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns according to Allied Universal and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑traffic areas, assisting with de‑escalation, trespass issues, and/or disorderly behavior while maintaining a professional presence.
• Handle assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with post orders, training, and applicable laws, while remaining prepared to support law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when needed.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A minimum of 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security‑related experience, is required.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
