Overview

Lightning protection Installer – Lightning Specialists Inc. is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals who are interested in the growing field of lightning protection. We provide our employees with everything they need to advance in the industry including steady pay increases, certifications, and on site and online job training. Employees while working will have a company vehicle to travel to job sites and will be provided with all tools, safety equipment, and materials that our crews need on projects.

Lightning Specialists Inc. has 100's of projects every year in the central and south Florida area that allows our crews constant change of scenery and jobsite environments. This is a great opportunity for individuals who love to see new areas and work on all types of different and unique structures.

• 18 years of age or older.
• A valid driver's license.
• The ability to show a clean driving history.
• The ability to show a clean criminal history (LSI works on many federal construction sites that require a background check).
• The physical ability to climb ladders, walk on pitched roofs, and lift up to 80lbs.
• Hard working and comfortable working on roofs, ladders and in the sun.
• Construction experience is a plus.

• Installing lightning protection cabling on roofs or on the ground.
• Digging and trenching.
• Working with hand and power tools.
• Traveling to job sites (usually within a 1-hour drive).
• Sometimes we will request employees to stay overnight on jobs that are farther away. Hotel and per diem are included).
• Reading construction blueprints.
• Completing and complying with job site-specific safety requirements.

Lightning Specialists inc. is proud to provide all employees with a 2-year apprenticeship program that will train them in the aspects of lightning protection and lead them to a certification as a Lightning Protection Journeyman Installer. This certification comes with advanced pay increases, opportunities, and the ability to make lightning protection a lifelong career. This apprenticeship program is a steppingstone that will lead to other career advancements and growth within the company.
