Automation Apprentice

As an Automation Apprentice at Lufkin Industries, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining Lufkin Automation equipment under direct supervision, diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic issues, and ensuring efficient operation and installation of related equipment.

Responsibilities

* Service and maintain Lufkin Automation equipment under direct supervision

* Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical/electronic equipment

* Perform on-site installation of electrical/electronic equipment, including conduits

* Operate various electronic tools and equipment, such as auto cranes and stud guns

* Assess and address well-optimization issues independently or with the help of technical specialists

* Collaborate with other business entities and manage customer service standards and quality

* Follow HSE procedures rigorously

* Other projects as required

Minimum Requirements

* High School Diploma/GED

* Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

* Ability to lift 55 lbs and perform physical activities in different types of weather conditions

Essential Characteristics

* Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite

* Ability to work independently and in team settings

* Experience in oilfield operations, automation, and instrumentation (preferred)

* Strong commitment to safety and quality standards

* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage inventory
