About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Accumulator/Closing Unit Technician to join our team in Odessa, TX. This role involves performing a variety of mechanical and technical tasks in the shop, warehouse, and field. The ideal candidate will have experience with hydraulic systems, mechanical troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, rebuild, operate, test, and troubleshoot accumulator and closing unit equipment.
- Monitor and evaluate equipment performance; recommend adjustments to improve quality and efficiency.
- Operate machinery and tools in accordance with OEM guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Complete accurate records and documentation related to inspections and repairs.
- Paint and prepare equipment for deployment or storage.
- Perform general housekeeping and maintenance of shop areas and company vehicles.
- Operate heavy machinery when certified.
- Travel to field locations (up to 40%) for equipment service and repair.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3–5 years of relevant work experience in a mechanical or technical role.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% for field service work.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Technical training in hydraulics, mechanics, or electrical/electronics.
- Experience as a shop or field technician in the oil and gas industry.
- Welding experience.
- Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with accumulator and closing unit maintenance.
