We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Line Locator to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our projects by accurately identifying underground pipelines and utility lines. Key Responsibilities
  • Locate and mark underground pipelines, cables, and utility lines using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Interpret maps, blueprints, and technical drawings to identify the location of underground infrastructure.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure the accuracy of line locations and identify potential hazards.
  • Maintain detailed records of line locations, markings, and related documentation.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent damage to infrastructure and ensure personal safety.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and clients regarding line locations and safety measures.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to line locating activities.
Skills And Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in line locating preferred.
  • Proven experience in underground utility locating, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency with line locating equipment such as electromagnetic locators, ground-penetrating radar, and other detection tools.
  • Strong understanding of underground utility systems, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment as needed.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
