Primary Purpose
Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and operates natural gas processing refrigeration and amine treating plants, and associated equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair various natural gas process refrigeration and mechanical equipment including freon compressors, pumps, cooling fans, pressure control equipment, valves, motors, etc., and amine treating equipment and plants.
- Train others in operations and routine maintenance of refrigeration and natural gas treating plant equipment.
- Maintain equipment maintenance records – routine preventative maintenance, major and minor repair work, equipment availability, oil usage, etc.
- Maintain parts inventory.
- Observe all EH&S regulations, operating and maintenance procedures, and company policies.
- Respond to callouts and emergencies after regular business hours, including overnight, and carry a mobile phone as required.
- Perform plant operations duties as needed and participate in area callouts when required.
- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. - Experience:
5+ years in natural gas treating and/or refrigeration mechanical field. - Knowledge:
Working knowledge of refrigeration equipment repairs, mechanical repairs, electrical equipment and compressor repairs; operational knowledge of electrical meters and instruments including amp meters, voltmeters, and mechanical tools. - Certifications:
Valid Driver's License; satisfactory driving history. - Skills:
Basic computer skills; ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document, and complete work with minimal supervision; adequate analytical and troubleshooting skills; good verbal and written communication; customer focus; team player; ability to follow work rules. - Physical:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to withstand extreme weather conditions. - Work
Conditions:
Extensive travel across 13 states, including overnight stays, weekends, holidays; shifts include nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
