Tank Mechanic

(Odessa, TX):
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Tank Mechanic to support the inspection, maintenance, repair, and modification of ISO tanks and related equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to work safely in an industrial environment.

• Operate yard equipment including Taylor forklifts and Ottawa yard mules for material handling and tank movement.
• Perform all ISO container and tank movements safely and efficiently.
• Report equipment deficiencies and maintenance needs to supervision.
• Prepare parts and components according to work orders and specifications.
• Install parts and assemblies on ISO tanks following engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Repair ISO tanks based on inspection findings and off-lease estimates.
• Perform periodic testing and inspections of ISO tanks.
• Coordinate and work alongside third-party inspectors as required.
• Conduct general maintenance and repairs on ISO tanks, chassis, and shop equipment.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and safely utilize hand and power tools.
• Operate equipment including forklifts, pressure washers, and air compressors.
• Perform work at elevated heights when required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.

• Experience using hand and power tools including impact drivers, angle grinders, ratchets, wrenches, and hammers.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair brakes, air lines, and lighting systems on chassis.
• Experience operating industrial equipment such as forklifts, pressure washers, and air compressors.
• Minimum mechanical experience preferred; two or more years is a plus.
• Previous welding experience or willingness to learn welding techniques.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, and repair procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and non-DOT physical examination.

• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor and stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
• Frequent climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment as required.
• Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity.
• Ability to work at heights exceeding 8 feet.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and an unconditioned warehouse environment.
• Ability to work around hazardous chemicals while following safety procedures.
• Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels and wear required PPE.
