Job Description
  • This is an entry-level position for maintenance personnel desiring a career path as a Power Distribution Technician (PDT).
  • Under direct mentorship, a PDT Associate will learn preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electronic and electrical equipment at the assigned location.
  • Assist mentor with lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) of equipment and functional testing to verify equipment readiness.
  • Must have a basic understanding of electronic and electrical schematics, drawings, and prints.
  • Perform work within a variety of Halliburton‑specific software and hardware.
  • Assist with rig up/down of electric frac equipment, including making electrical connections and deploying medium voltage electric cables.
  • Assist mentor with identifying unsafe conditions and suspending site operations until conditions are safe.
  • It is expected that the person in this role becomes an independent PDT within one year of start.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a technical certificate in a related discipline is required.
  • The role is developmental and involves work around three‑phase power distribution components up to 15,000 volts (medium voltage), PLC hardware, and cabling.
  • This role will be completed through on‑the‑job training and additional training programs.

Candidates whose qualifications exceed the minimum requirements will receive consideration for higher‑level roles as appropriate. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, opportunities might include Associate Power Distribution Technician or Power Distribution Technician II.
