RSM Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Cover RSM (Remote Service Monitor) product which includes service rigs and workover rigs.
• Perform remote monitoring of RSM rigs at customer locations.
• Travel to customer sites to install, commission, test, calibrate, and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products.
• Conduct field installations and calibrations of sensors and systems.
• Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system.
• Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.
• Handle billing, inventory, and paperwork.
• Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.

• Must reside in the West Texas coverage area (Odessa TX, Midland TX, Big Spring TX, Pecos TX, Monahans TX, Andrews TX, Hobbs NM, or Carlsbad NM).
• AA degree and/or equivalent experience with 2+ years of technical experience preferred.
• Willing to travel over 75% of the time.
• Work schedule:
  
  10 days on, 4 days off for local technicians.
• Work schedule:
  
  14 days on, 14 days off for rotational assignments.
• Willing to work 12+ hours daily during the schedule.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of oil and gas field components, including software and hardware.
• Willing to be on call.
• Electrical background preferred.
