Technician III – Shop

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring immediately for a Technician III – Shop.

Location:

Odessa, TX (shop based, occasional field work).

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Pay: $30+ per hour (dependent on experience). Paid weekly. Signing bonus: $5,000. Quarterly branch performance bonus. Eligibility for a $5,000 retention bonus paid in equal installments over 24 months.

• Minimum of 2–3+ years as a diesel mechanic, with construction equipment rental background preferred
• Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical, hydraulic, diesel engines (including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems)
• Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains
• Must possess necessary tools averaging $5,000+ in value
• Inspect, service, and test equipment to ensure performance to manufacturer specifications
• Perform routine equipment service, including checking fluid levels, changing fluid, and lubricating
• Perform novice‑level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW)
• Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, including warranty records
• Team player who supports team goals
