Responsibilities

Field Service Technician (Rotating Equipment & Precision Millwrighting)

  • Lead the installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment. Perform laser alignments and set critical air gaps and mechanical seals to OEM specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators) to diagnose wear, verify tolerances, and ensure equipment integrity.
  • Replace sleeve and anti‑friction bearings, gearboxes, and torque‑critical components using specialized tooling and specifications.
  • Perform essential diagnostic tests using portable electronic equipment (Megger, PdMA MCE, multimeter, and DLRO) to ensure system reliability.
  • Clean and prep electro‑mechanical equipment with bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaning for a professional finish.
  • Adhere to strict safety standards while working independently or as part of a high‑performing team to hit mutual project goals.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical failures in a fast‑paced, continuous‑improvement environment.
  • Strong customer‑facing skills with the ability to communicate technical findings professionally.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable record; willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as needed for on‑call field service.
  • Experience with PdMA testing or Level I vibration analysis is a significant plus.
