Position Summary
We are expanding across local retail stores and are actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. If you possess relevant experience, we invite you to bring your skills to our fast‑paced, welcoming work environment.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair Walmart facility's refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders to support stores and store associates and document repair activities.
- Provide a prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and comfortably work at heights frequently.
- At least 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
- Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
- Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- A valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) report.
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
- Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
- Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications, and other job‑related factors. Eligible for bonus incentive.
