Heavyweight Technician Trainee

As a Belt Technician with Cap Corp, you will perform a variety of duties within the shop, in the field, and at customer locations centered around installing, repairing, and replacing conveyor belts. This role allows you to learn a new trade and start a new career where your professional advancement is in your hands. You will report to the lead Belt Technician and perform the following duties:

• Execute duties related to a variety of shop work
• Loading/Unloading equipment for field service work
• Fabricating specialty conveyor belt and components
• Learn basic rigging
• Commit to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
• Completes all required paperwork (time sheets, service orders, forms, inventory, expense reports, purchase card, and equipment related items)
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Valid Driver’s License
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Ability to lift 50 plus pounds often
• Ability to work in tight spaces or at heights for an extended period
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
• Ability to work a variety of schedules: overtime, on-call, night shift, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and have a clean driving record
• Math skills and ability to utilize a tape measure
