Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Conveyor Belt Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with conveyor belt installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in industrial environments. Strong knowledge of belt vulcanizing, hydraulic systems, and mechanical maintenance is required.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor belt systems.
- Perform hot and cold belt vulcanizing, splicing, and belt lagging.
- Inspect conveyor systems for wear, damage, and safety concerns.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic components and systems.
- Replace rollers, pulleys, bearings, motors, and other conveyor components.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Complete maintenance reports and work orders accurately.
- Previous experience as a conveyor belt mechanic or industrial maintenance technician.
- Strong knowledge of conveyor belt vulcanizing and splicing techniques.
- Experience working with hydraulic systems and troubleshooting hydraulic equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in industrial, mining, aggregate, fracking and oil field environments.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Background/Drug test.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards.
- Experience with pneumatic systems.
- MSHA or OSHA certifications are a plus.
