Responsibilities- Work under the supervision of an assigned Journeyman electrician.
- Install wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on the direction of a Journeyman.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform warehouse duties and material handling as needed.
- Perform pre‑fab duties both on and off‑site as needed.
- Learn to follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Attend schooling one night a week and maintain passing grades.
- Attend in‑house training.
- Available to work overtime and/or irregular business hours as requested.
- Perform other duties assigned.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attentive to safety.
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Independent worker with a strong work ethic.
- Physical requirements:
standing, walking, sitting for long periods; walking on uneven ground; manual dexterity for use of small hand and power tools; repetitive motions such as squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting; frequently lifting up to 50 lbs., occasionally lifting up to 80 lbs.; work safely from heights up to 50 feet; occasional work in constricted spaces; good vision; working outside in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold. - Pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
