Tyton Power is seeking a Generator Field Technician to join our team in Odessa, TX. This technical role supports preventative maintenance, inspections, minor and major repairs, and quality control on company generators under direct supervision. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and eager to build hands-on generator and electrical systems experience.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $30-40 per hour, based on experience and certifications
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, potential weekend work dependent on project schedule

Key Responsibilities Assist with preventative maintenance, inspections, minor repairs, part replacements, and quality control checks on company generators under direct supervision, reporting all identified issues to supervising technicians
Load bank and test generators, perform basic inspections on units above 180kW, and assist with basic troubleshooting of generators, engines, and fuel supply systems under supervision
Install telemetry devices, ensure proper asset numbers and decals on all equipment, and assist with mobilizing/demobilizing generators to customer locations
Document repair operations, parts used, and time in work orders per company procedures, and perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections on the lube trailer
Maintain daily contact with supervisors, communicate professionally with on-site customers regarding service work, and assist co-workers with diagnostics and repairs as needed
Participate in on-call rotation (one week as assigned), develop working knowledge of 480V systems as they relate to generator operation, and attend all required training
Comply with all company safety policies and applicable state and federal regulations, immediately reporting any safety violations or unsafe conditions
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 24 years of age.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in generator maintenance and repair.
Valid driver’s license with an approvable driving record.
Must be able to pass a drug screening.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
Must be able to travel frequently to customer locations; overtime may be required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
