Heavy Equipment Technician

A great client in Odessa is seeking an experienced Heavy technician.

The Company is looking to add an experienced technician to our Service Department. We are seeking skilled professionals with verifiable training and hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and crane systems. • Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on company-owned and customer-owned equipment.
• Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on:
  • Truck-Mounted Cranes
  • Rough Terrain Cranes
  • All Terrain Cranes
  • Crawler Cranes
  • Lattice Boom Cranes
  • Boom Trucks
  • Excavators
  • Dozers
  • Rollers
  • Other construction and heavy dirt equipment
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to complete repairs.
• Communicate effectively with customers and office staff regarding equipment issues and repair solutions.
• Complete service documentation, work orders, and repair reports accurately and on time.
• Follow all company safety policies and environmental regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Minimum 1 year of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment schematics and diagrams.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Factory training certifications are a plus.
• Experience with Manitowoc, Grove, and Kobelco cranes is highly preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Experience with diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must own or be able to obtain tools necessary for the position.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy components and tools.
• Frequent climbing, bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work safely in shop and field environments.
