Final Mile Driver

Responsibilities

• Pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally in a non CDL‑A vehicle.
• Safely and timely transport freight from origin to destination.
• Load and unload shipments, individually or with assistance; use mechanical freight‑handling equipment as required.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, and carrying of freight.
• Inspect vehicle for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and after trips; submit a written Vehicle Condition Report at the end of each trip.
• Check shipping papers to determine the nature of the load and verify no hazardous materials are present.
• Ensure all required documentation (manifest, security seal sheet, bill of lading, shipping orders, freight bills, etc.) accompanies shipments at pick‑up and delivery.
• Properly handle and complete all necessary paperwork related to vehicle operations and freight movements.

• At least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass a satisfactory background check and alcohol/drug test.
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• At least 6 months of driving experience, including personal vehicle use.
• Willingness to enter the Southeast Driver Trainee Program after completing one year as a Final Mile Driver.
• Preferred experience:
  
  Pallet Jack, load & unload, box truck, delivery driver, or CDLB.

Pay: $31.35 – $34.50 per hour.

Job Type: Full‑Time.

First Shift.
