Role Type:

Valid CDL (Class A or B based on assigned equipment)
Position OverviewThe Customer Delivery Specialist is the final and most visible step of the customer experience. This role combines professional CDL driving with hands‑on service. It goes beyond moving a trailer from point A to point B — this person represents Nationwide Trailers at job sites, businesses, and homes where customers often have never visited a store or met their sales consultant face‑to‑face.
The role ensures each delivery is safe, on time, and supported with a quick walkthrough so the customer knows how to use their trailer confidently. Drivers operate company‑provided trucks (e.g., Ford Super Duty class) and use internal scheduling and communication tools to manage routes and communicate updates.
- Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and in compliance with CDL and DOT requirements.
- Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of truck and trailer combinations.
- Secure loads properly and verify that all delivery documentation is accurate.
- Represent Nationwide Trailers professionally at every delivery.
- Walk customers through basic trailer operation: hitching, jack use, safety chains, breakaway system, loading best practices, tie‑down points, and door operation.
- Confirm the trailer meets expectations, elevating concerns to store leadership if needed.
- Capture delivery photos and proof‑of‑delivery documentation using company apps.
- Use company scheduling and communication tools to receive routes, update statuses, and log delivery information.
- Communicate proactively with customers, sales consultants, and store leaders to ensure smooth handoffs.
- Document delivery notes to support follow‑up, service needs, or warranty requests.
- Assist with moving trailers around the lot or transporting units between stores when requested.
- Maintain delivery truck and equipment cleanliness and readiness.
- Support safe practices at stores and on customer sites.
- Valid CDL (Class A or Class B depending on assigned deliveries).
- Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements.
- Experience delivering equipment or trailers preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle trailer equipment.
- Comfortable using smartphones/tablets and learning scheduling and communication software.
- Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively in varied job‑site environments.
This is not a "drop and go" driving job. It’s a customer‑service role with driving at its core — the Customer Delivery Specialist closes the loop on the sales experience and reinforces Nationwide Trailers' reputation for reliability and professionalism.
