This position prefers qualified local job seekers within 60 miles of our Axis Odessa, TX facility.
DescriptionThe Cased-Hole Operator executes open-hole and/or cased-hole logging and completion services, including rigging up the truck at the service location, assisting with all operations in the shop and at the wellsite, operating and maintaining the assigned wireline truck and equipment, and keeping records for the overall operation. The role is labor-intensive within our Wireline division.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Installs / disassembles (rig up/rig down) wireline and pressure control equipment in accordance with OEM standards, including verification of applicable certifications, and assembles, secures, and disconnects equipment.
- Monitors, evaluates, and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
- Performs shipping, loading, and unloading duties.
- Follows all standard shipping practices and procedures with full FMCSA compliance regulations, including additional transportation routing and scheduling requirements.
- Validates and documents identity and quantity of all equipment.
- Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots wireline truck and equipment, including diagnostics, and keeps records for the overall operation.
- Drives company vehicles and equipment: wireline trucks, cranes, pickup trucks, and pickup trucks with trailers.
- Ensures compliance with all regulations applicable to wireline explosive operations.
- Cleans and maintains company vehicles, tools, and equipment; troubleshoots tool, equipment, and truck problems; restores tools in the shop and in the field.
- Provides support to crew members with operations on and off location and communicates with technicians on equipment failure.
- Performs other duties as assigned as necessary.
All tasks are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must possess a Class B CDL (Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required).
- Must have an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check.
- Wireline experience preferred but not required.
- Willing to travel up to 80% of the time.
