CDL Driver - Wide and Oversized Loads for Odessa, TX

Responsibilities

• Must have prior experience driving wide and oversized loads.
• Transport equipment to and from all job sites.
• Deliver materials to customers efficiently and provide outstanding customer service.
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving regulations and local roads.
• Drive to designated locations, verify loads against shipping papers, maintain duty status records per state and federal regulations, and perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections.
• Champion the company’s HSE&T program and provide quality service safely.
• Inspect units for defects before, during, and after trips; submit written reports on truck condition at trip end.
• Drive up to 11 hours to destinations with a maximum of 14 hours total per DOT rules.
• Maneuver vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, including heavy traffic and inclement weather.
• Operate equipment in all weather conditions; go forward and back up long distances, around corners, and through tight areas.
• Report accidents, incidents, safety hazards, delays, breakdowns, weather, or traffic emergencies promptly.
• Maintain records required for compliance: driver duty status, mileage, and other regulatory logs.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, federal, state, and local regulations for safe operations of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Attend required safety meetings on‑site and off‑site.
• Perform general labor and other tasks assigned by supervisory personnel as needed.
• Perform safety‑sensitive functions as defined in the CES Drug and Alcohol Plan.
