Summary:
The position of DOT/ Fleet Specialist is responsible for the general upkeep and overall communication of the Saulsbury vehicle fleet. This includes the generation of monthly reports, management of vehicle inspections and registrations, along with other duties listed below.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Manage the general communication of the Saulsbury Vehicle Fleet Generate weekly reports to communicate scheduled and preventive maintenance, recalls, annual general, State, and Federal Registration renewal, maintenance costs, and fuel usage
Generate monthly reports to management to communicate active, idle, and downed vehicles along with their mileage
Coordinate with Drivers, Distribution Facilities, and Projects on obtaining all documentation for annual/DOT inspections as well as State and Federal Registrations for filing and retention
Communicate with Enterprise Fleet Maintenance regarding any aspects of Saulsbury Fleet Vehicles that fall under the Full or Managed Maintenance Program Work with the Risk Management, HSE and HR departments in identifying undocumented vehicle damages and non-work related fuel charges
Manage the assignment of all Fuel Cards for equipment and Saulsbury Fleet Vehicles Ensure all Fuel Cards are sent
Work closely with the DOT Compliance Officer on all tasks
Supports all Fleet Management groups when needed (Vehicle Fleet, DOT, Equipment)
Manage Fleet Geo Tab Watchdog reports
Vehicle assignment information (who gets what type of vehicles)
Vehicle swaps needed in the field
Approved Vendor’s for various repair types for vehicle fleet
Communicate upcoming registration needs
Provide warehouses with Geo Tab tracking devises
Vehicle reports to Management Management and replacement of Fuel Cards/Maintenance cards
Tracking and scheduling of maintenance needed in the field
Manage Vehicle Fleet Recalls Record retention about Saulsbury’s Vehicle Fleet, to include Tool Vans Vehicles, Trailers, etc.
Sale/Disposing of Fleet assets
Other duties as assigned by Management Qualifications Two (2) or more years of experience working in fleet or DOT administration or office administration.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skills in Office programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Possess valid drivers’ license with a good driving record
Team work and Communication Skills Safety Requirements On a continual basis, promotes an awareness of environmental, health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and ensures compliance with all accompany policies
Ability to pass drug test as mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program
Must attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education
Attends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management
Attends various training classes as may be assigned by management
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
Ability to take needed safety precautions in performing the work
