Role Synopsis

The Inventory Control Administrator supports the Unconventional Operations Manager and onsite staff by managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper material flow, and coordinating ERP-based inventory transactions. This role is responsible for monitoring inventory accuracy, executing cycle counts, supporting receiving and shipping activities, maintaining documentation, and overseeing inventory-related administrative processes that ensure efficient operational performance in the Odessa facility.

Inventory Accuracy & Control
  • Maintain and audit inventory on a scheduled basis; investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system balances.
  • Ensure accurate inventory transactions, including receiving, stocking, picking, issuing, and shipping.
Material Handling & Workflow Support
  • Receive incoming parts and materials, verify documentation, and ensure correct storage locations are maintained.
  • Utilize the ERP system (D365) to perform inventory movements, create and close orders, and process journal entries.
  • Provide timely inventory status updates and respond to internal requests for order, receipt, or shipping information.
  • Coordinate with corporate office to set up project numbers and maintain accurate asset-related records when applicable.
  • Coordinate material availability for work orders and assign parts as required for incoming projects and field reports.
General
  • Ensure safe, clean, and organized warehouse and office areas.
  • Follow all safety, QHSE, and operational policies, ensuring PPE compliance.
  • Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned and appropriate.

Qualifications/Work Experience

Education

Essential

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Experience

Essential

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a shipping/receiving/warehouse function and/or inventory control function.
  • Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the inventory control discipline and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Well versed in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), experience in MRP system transactions
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with various departments.
Preferred
  • Experience with asset management tracking such as Iron Trac.
  • Experience with D365 ERP system.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawing and use of inspection tooling is a plus
  • Forklift experience is a plus. On-site training will be provided for facility certification.
