Warehouse Specialist

Job Summary

Ensures daily functions and procedures of warehouse, distribution and shipping run smoothly and efficiently.

• Responsible for moving, stocking, receiving, and packing warehouse merchandise.
• Assists in inventory counts.
• Operates warehouse equipment as needed to complete tasks.
• Responsible for following warehouse safety regulations.
• Responsible for general cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Ensures paperwork is properly filed.
• Performs work under direct supervision.
• Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or a Health Safety and Environmental team member.
• Participates in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 0-3 years Warehouse experience required.
• Must have basic computer and technological skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time and prioritize projects.
• Ability to operate Scales, Computers, Hoists, Printers, Scissor lifts, Hand trucks, Wrap machines, Forklift and Pallet Jack.
• Must have proficient computer and technological skills (Net Suite and RF-Smart).
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
• Capable of effectively presenting information to internal and external groups.
• Must have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

• Office/Warehouse – PPE required in specific areas.
• Potential proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical currents, oils and chemicals.
• Potential exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
• Extreme temperatures for more than an hour possible.
• Consistently elevated noise levels in work area.
