Position Summary

System One is actively seeking a Warehouse Lead for a permanent position located in Odessa, TX. This will be a permanent position with our client, specializing in fluid system products, assemblies, and services for the oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical, semiconductor, and transportation industries. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for leading the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the warehouse facility while ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy, operational productivity, and customer service.

This role oversees all inbound and outbound warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, replenishment, shipping, and claims administration.

The Warehouse Lead provides direct leadership to warehouse associates and is accountable for optimizing workflows, maintaining facility and equipment operations, and supporting a productive, team‑oriented work environment. This position also oversees local will‑call operations to ensure timely and professional customer support. In addition to day‑to‑day operational leadership, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for maintaining inventory integrity, minimizing operational disruptions, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards and Standard Quality System (SQS) processes.

The role partners cross‑functionally to drive continuous improvement, operational consistency, and service excellence in support of organizational objectives.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Lead all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, replenishment, shipping, and will‑call functions.
  • Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and shipped on time to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counting, audits, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Monitor warehouse productivity and labor efficiency to achieve operational targets.
  • Supervise and develop warehouse personnel through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure facility, equipment, and material handling systems remain safe, operational, and properly maintained.
  • Maintain and enforce adherence to company policies, safety initiatives, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and documentation practices to ensure operational compliance and consistency.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align warehouse priorities with customer demand and business requirements.
  • Resolve warehouse‑related issues including shipping discrepancies, damages, claims, shortages, and service interruptions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, process efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer service performance.
  • Prepare and review warehouse operational reports and performance metrics.

  • Attend and actively participate in meetings, training sessions, and operational discussions as assigned.
  • Actively pursue professional and leadership development opportunities, including leadership training, skills development programs, professional reading, and Emotional Intelligence (EI) competency growth.
  • Complete assigned projects, tasks, and departmental initiatives within established timelines while proactively communicating progress, risks, or support needs.
  • Travel to other branch locations may be required to support operational needs, training, standardization efforts, or business initiatives.
Experience, Training, Knowledge
  • Education:

    High School Education or GED. Associate degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehouse management in a customer service‑oriented business is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build personal and team‑based relationships with all levels of associates.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to details are required
  • Knowledge of warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Forklift experience required; mechanically inclined with ability to understand and support basic equipment and warehouse systems.
  • Proficient with Office 365 – Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
