Before and After School Site Director - O'Fallon IL YMCA

Support planning and coordination of program and its activities.

Ensure implementation and compliance of YMCA, State and School guidelines, policies and procedures.

Ensure individual needs of children are met.

Maintain positive relationships with staff, families, school personnel and volunteers.

Maintain an environment that ensures children, staff and family safety and well being

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that advance all areas of children's development and learning, including social, emotional, intellectual and physical competency

Conduct program in accordance with YMCA goals and principles of developmentally appropriate practices

Supervise and mentor group leaders and support staff.

Support program growth and development.

Ensure zero tolerance for abuse and actively participate in the protection of youth and teens.

Must be at least 18 years of age (see specific requirements)
Possess at least 1 year experience working in child care/camp/recreation or related field.

Ability to use typical business software and office equipment.

Strong communication, organization and detail skills.

Understanding of the role of volunteerism within the YMCA.Must have strong leadership skills, be self-motivated and possess knowledge of group work principles. Program Specific Requirements Site Director-Exemption or Variance Certification in the following areas per required timeline:

-Principals of Early Learning & After school
-Engaging Youth 5-9
-Engaging Youth 9-12
