Position: Special Education Teacher (2026-2027)

Principal

Qualifications
  • Hold an IL Professional Educator License (PEL) for the particular position as required by the State.
  • Must be familiar with the use of computers including but not limited to electronic mail, the Internet, word processing, and electronic spreadsheets (Microsoft Office).
  • Establish and maintain effective and courteous working relationships with those contacted in the course of work (students, parents, and staff).
  • Ability to understand and follow basic oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate with students, parents, and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to supervise and monitor students, including the ability to move throughout the classroom and school facilities, observe student behavior, and respond appropriately to classroom and safety needs.
Benefits

Compensation for Teaching Positions are based on Appendix “A” of the Agreement between the Board of Education, O’Fallon Township High School District No. 203 and the O’Fallon Federation of Teachers, O’Fallon, Illinois 62269 (Collective Bargaining Agreement). This position is eligible for health/dental/vision/life insurance, paid-time off, and tuition assistance. This position participates in the Teachers Retirement System (TRS).
