Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Locum Tenens CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) - General Anesthesiology (Temporary Assignment) O'Fallon, IL 62269

We are seeking a locum tenens CRNA (temporary assignment) for an on-site opportunity in O'Fallon, Illinois (62269). This is a great option for clinicians looking for a focused, time-limited role supporting perioperative anesthesia services. This position supports case coverage across general anesthesia, orthopedic surgery, and OB.

  • Start Date: 11/03/2025
  • End Date: 12/31/2026
  • Shifts per Week: 3
  • Scheduled Shift Time: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
  • Shift Duration (as provided): 16 Hour Days
  • Scheduled Hours: 32 hours/week
  • Call: No in-house call; no weeknight or weekend pager call
  • Overtime: Not expected, but offered as available
  • Case Types: General, Orthopedic, OB
  • Charting System / EMR: Epic & iPro
  • Anesthesia Rooms: 20
  • Care Team Model: MDs supervise CRNAs; CRNA:

    MD ratio 2:1; MDs also do their own cases
  • Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $5,450 - $5,750
Job Requirements (CRNA Qualifications)
  • Current license as a registered professional nurse (RN)
  • Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
  • Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
  • Licensure: Must be fully licensed prior to start (candidates needing to obtain state licensure are not accepted)
  • Preferred Keywords/Skills: General anesthesiology, orthopedic anesthesia, OB anesthesia, perioperative services, patient monitoring, anesthesia documentation, Epic EMR
Responsibilities (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist)
  • Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans
  • Obtain and/or verify patient consent and confirm procedural readiness
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients and families
  • Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia across assigned case types
  • Monitor and document the patient's physiological condition throughout procedures
  • Perform clinical interventions as needed and collaborate with the anesthesia care team
