Position
Registered Nurse (RN) – GI Lab – O'Fallon, Illinois
Schedule- 8‑hour day shifts
- 6‑9AM staggered start times
- 45‑minute call response time; call requirement
- 30‑40 procedures per day
- Provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of nursing standards.
- Promotes patient‑ and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
- Educates patients and families on illness management, post‑treatment home care, and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
- Assists in professional development opportunities.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members, the patient and their family or caregiver.
- Proactively plans and communicates the plan of care across the continuum of care.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Assesses patient preferences, barriers, values, emotional, spiritual, cultural preferences and specific population needs.
- Maintains a constant state of alertness in a safety‑sensitive environment (essential function).
- Education:
Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing. - Licensure:
Current RN license. - Experience:
No prior experience required; up to 1 year of nursing experience preferred. - No required supervisory or management experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Less than 2 years of experience.
- Experience in GI Lab or related clinical area (implied).
