In this hands-on laboratory position, you'll perform product testing, support food safety initiatives, and work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Quality Technician, you will help uphold the highest standards of product quality by:

• Collecting and testing in-process and finished product samples to verify quality and food safety compliance.
• Performing analytical testing including pH analysis, wet chemistry procedures, and basic microbiological testing.
• Operating laboratory equipment and utilizing proper pipetting techniques to generate accurate and reliable results.
• Recording and documenting test results in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assisting with daily laboratory activities to support efficient operations and workflow.
• Participating in sensory and organoleptic (taste) evaluations of dairy products.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and audit-ready laboratory environment.
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Conducting occasional environmental monitoring activities, including air sampling and quality checks within the production facility.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and food safety.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain consistent testing practices.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Availability to work 3rd Shift (Monday-Friday, 8:00 PM-4:00 AM).
• Ability and willingness to participate in dairy product taste testing as part of quality evaluations.

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related scientific field.
• Basic laboratory knowledge, including sample handling, laboratory equipment, and testing procedures.
• Previous laboratory, quality assurance, or food manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with microbiological testing and wet chemistry techniques.
• Experience documenting data in electronic or paper-based quality systems.

This is a Contract position based out of O Fallon, IL.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
