Reports to: Sr. Finance Manager - Ogden

Responsibilities

  • Support the Accounts Payable function through regular communication with vendors and timely completion of vendor statement reconciliations.
  • Provide administrative support to Accounts Payable, including preparation of tax exemption certificates and credit applications, and scanning/transmitting documents and checks to Headquarters (Toronto).
  • Track and report monthly chemical and consumable usage, identifying unusual movements and cost drivers.
  • Monitor and analyze Maintenance & Spares (M&S) spending trends and investigate variances.
  • Coordinate with Site engineer to expedite PO & invoice processing for Capex.
  • Provide analytical support for ad‑hoc requests requiring data gathering, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams (Operations, Maintenance, Quality, HR) to validate data and improve cost visibility.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Any request from VP Financial Controller & CFO
  • Support with year end Audits.
  • Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements etc.
  • Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
  • 0–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis (manufacturing exposure is a plus).
  • Intermediatory in Microsoft Excel and prior experience with ERP systems, accounting software, financial systems is required
  • CPA designation or in progress is an asset
  • Prior accounting, costing, analysis, and financial reporting experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Excellent time management, analytical, and organizational skills paired with strong conflict resolution and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills partnered with the ability to communicate effectively through proper understanding of the Organization’s goals and expectations of internal customers
  • Ability to deliver results in a timely manner, without compromising on accuracy
