The
** Alternative Investments Team
** provides accounting, pricing, and reconciliation services for our alternative investment fund clients. This group is a growing team that continues to add to our client portfolio. With additional clients and the evolution of client needs comes the opportunity to grow our knowledge base and expand our technological capabilities.

The
** Audit Team
** provides audit preparation services for our alternative investment fund clients. This group is a small team that was created to take the heavy lifting of annual audits from our accountant peers. The team is heavily seasonal with most audit preparation taking place from January to June.

As the
** Audit Specialist,
** you will support UMB by handling all tasks related to the annual audit of the financial reporting process. The work done in this role is instrumental in allowing our Fund Accountants to have a better balance of their time to support our client needs. In this position you will have the opportunity to grow professionally, learn new concepts related to audit and accounting, and work as part of a team as you explore UMB and the alternative investment industry.
** How you’ll spend your time:
*** You will operate Excel and UMB accounting systems to pull in and summarize exports to use for client financial statements
* You will reconcile and clean up data for the preparation of audited financial statements
* You will partner with the Fund Accounting team and other peers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and client satisfaction

*** You have completed at least two years in an undergraduate program in a business-related field
* You have strong communication and review skills with a desire to learn more in audit and accounting

** Compensation Range:**$33,786 - $49,698
