Job Summary / Basic FunctionThe Office Assistant position provides office support for the Housing offices around campus. The job duties of this position include but are not limited to: answering and directing phone calls, giving students and family members tours of our facilities, sorting and organizing mail, answering general questions, and other office duties such as filing and customer service.
** This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
Required Qualifications- Good customer service skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail.

Light work. Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls exerting forces greater than that for sedentary work.
Visual acuity requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision.
Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position: the worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
