Bechtel is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Northrop Grumman team delivering the Sentinel Program, which upgrades the ground-based launch infrastructure for the U.S. nuclear deterrent. Bechtel’s current focus is on the ground infrastructure component in the Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase.
Job SummaryThe Sentinel Project is looking for a Government Property Administrator located in Ogden, UT. This position reports to the Materials Manager in the Supply Chain Organization and provides principal support to the project’s government property control program.

- Implement property management processes for acquisition, receiving, identification, records, inventories, subcontractor control, storage, movement, utilization, maintenance, reports, relief of stewardship, disposition, and contract closeout.
- Assist managers and administrators in completing tasks required by the Government Property Management Procedures and complying with regulatory requirements and property records systems.
- Interface with property custodians to facilitate procedures and monitor compliance with prime contract obligations.
- Conduct investigations and inquiries into specific government property control areas.
- Draft correspondence and assist in preparing periodic status reports.
- Conduct inventories, reconcile reports, and prepare reports and metrics.
- Process excess property for disposition, including segregation, documentation, and turn‑in.
- Assist with or develop procedures, instructions, forms, and training programs.
- Maintain property record databases for uniquely identified property, summary records, subcontractor property, excess property, and disposed property.
- Prepare various property reports upon request such as government inventory and government property status.
- Prepare trend analyses, participate in property‑related meetings, and organize materials for meetings, presentations, and training sessions.
- May oversee and administer programs with the property control system as assigned.
- Assist in Item/Stock Code creation and implementation for internal stakeholders.
Level I: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in a related field and 5‑8 years of relevant experience, or 9‑12 years in industry work experience in lieu of a degree.
Level II: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in a related field and 8‑10 years of relevant experience, or 12‑14 years in industry work experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Knowledge and Skills- Advanced analytical and organizational skills.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Advanced working knowledge of and experience with standard asset management software such as Sunflower.
- Ability to lift and move equipment/material up to 25 pounds.
- Intermediate knowledge of contract types, terms, and legal requirements.
- Well‑experienced in tracking and controlling government property.
- Advanced knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 45 and 52.245‑1.
Must be able to complete and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education.
