Weber State University Career Services is seeking a strategic, relationship‑driven Employer Engagement Manager to advance employer partnerships and elevate student career readiness s position, partially funded by the JLD grant, will shape employer outreach strategies, lead the JLD program with Career Services leadership, mentor staff, and collaborate with career stakeholders across campus. The manager will strengthen employer partnerships, enhance student readiness, and align engagement with broader institutional and grant objectives.
The role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on execution and acts as a liaison between the university, employers, and workforce partners to create meaningful career pathways for students.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 3 years of experience in employer relations, recruiting, talent development, business development, or related fields
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with confidence to initiate contacts, build relationships, and present effectively to others
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM and/or career engagement platforms (Salesforce, Handshake, etc.)
- Experience in recruiting, employer engagement, or workforce development
- Experience planning events, programs, or engagement initiatives
- Experience in higher education or similar environments
- Experience working with stakeholders and supporting projects, initiatives, or partnerships

The annual salary for this position starts at $50,000 and may increase based on qualifications.
Physical RequirementsMedium work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects; requires ability to lift, move, and use upper extremities; requires expressing and exchanging ideas, receiving detailed information, and operating equipment.
