The Commercial Flight Controls Division, headquartered in beautiful Ogden, Utah, is a global leader in aerospace flight controls.
We are the preferred supplier of flight control solutions for the commercial, regional, business jet and advanced air mobility marketplace by offering a premier customer experience with superior engineered products that exceed our customer and regulatory requirements.
We've broken ground with more-electric technology and electromechanical flight control systems. Looking ahead we're further improving flight control actuation for traditional and advanced air mobility (AAM) aircraft with new technologies and manufacturing advancements.
SUMMARY:The Strategic Pricing Manager is responsible for leading pricing for the entire CFCD Division product and services portfolio. This role balances data-driven decision-making, and strong execution skills to drive pricing adoption and implementation. Partners with multiple functions and key stakeholders to position product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with product / sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements. Oversees the implementation of pricing proposals across the entire CFCD Division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Leads a multi-generational pricing roadmap development process in line with strategic/operating plans - typically within one division or multi-sites within a division or multi-site scope
- Ensures list prices and the utilization is on target to achieve revenue and margin goals
- Responsible for pricing of new product developments throughout all stage gates in Win ovation
- Directs the development and analysis of pricing models and projections
- Defines floor and ceiling prices
- Establishes guidelines for delegation of pricing authority
Manages adherence of pricing guidelines
- Conducts regular reviews of price variance charts and metrics including product and customers
- Understands value position of products against competition, competing alternatives and internal product offering
Monitors the ongoing business environment to ensure competitive pricing
Contract:
- Responsible for timely review and implementation of annual price adjustments in adherence with the applicable contract terms.
- Maintains accurate records of year-on-year annual price adjustments for all contracts.
- Proactively tracks, forecasts and reports on market shifts and trends including index performance.
Monitors and analyzes contract pricing margins by conducting cost reviews. Proposes strategies to mitigate the impact of margin compression.
- Responsible for ensuring the strategic pricing improvement board is up to date
- Provides management with monthly metrics (win/loss tracking, quote variance to guidelines, sell price trends, speed to quote, etc.)
- Understands, collaborates, and creates value propositions (value pricing) to maximize margin/revenue
- Ensures accuracy of Parker's master catalogue
- Drives GM expansion and contributes to growth goals
Bachelor degree (required), preferably in Business Discipline OR Engineering, Engineering Technology. MBA desired.
Minimum eight (8) years of pricingexperience within manufacturing required or similar commercial experience;
aerospace industry highly preferredDemonstrated experience owning Pricing for Product lifecycle from design concept
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications, Salesforce)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving/resolution skills and a team focus
