The Safety & Operations Training Coordinator leads company wide safety compliance and training. This role develops and enforces safety programs, conducts jobsite audits, tracks training and certifications, and partners with Operations and HR to ensure OSHA/MSHA compliance and a strong safety culture.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety audits; investigate incidents and manage field-level responses.
  • Develop, deliver, and track safety and technical training; maintain a shared training calendar.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA/MSHA and other regulators; manage OSHA 300/301 logs and Workers’ Comp reporting.
  • Lead monthly safety meetings; chair the Safety Committee and serve as primary safety contact.
  • Maintain safety documentation, manuals, and corrective action plans.
  • Analyze incident trends and implement prevention strategies.
  • Partner with HR on policy enforcement, investigations, and substance‑abuse screening.
  • Prepare project‑specific safety plans for job packets and visit jobsites frequently.
What You Bring
  • Experience in construction safety, training, or operations support.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926; ability to manage audits, investigations, and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills—able to teach the “why” behind safety.
  • Organized, detail‑driven, and resourceful; comfortable working in the field.
  • Certifications or willingness to obtain: OSHA 30 Construction, OSHA Compliance, MSHA Safety, Utah Safety Council Advanced Safety, OSHA Safety Standards.
Physical & Work Conditions
  • Stand/walk for long periods; lift up to 50–100 lbs.
  • Work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, rain, or snow.
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, and jobsite conditions.
