Location:Homebasein Ogden,UT.Thisrolewillrequireworkingonaprojectin Seattle,WAforextendedperiods.
Traveland/ortemporaryrelocationwillberequired.
The Quality Control Managerisresponsibleforensuringallconstructionactivitiescomplywithcontractdocuments ,approvedsubmittals,applicablefederalandstateregulations,OSHA requirements,andcompany policies.
Thispositionhastheauthoritytoactinall Contractor Quality Control (CQC) matters,includingstoppingworkwhennecessary,andprovidesactivesupporttoprojectsafetyprograms.
- Performroutinesitewalksandinspectionstoidentify,document,andcorrectdeficientornon-conformingwork.
- EnforceapprovedprojectsafetyplansandensurecompliancewithOSHA,EM385-1-1,and project-specificsafetyrequirements.
- Conduct,coordinate,and/orfacilitaterequiredprojecttrainingforqualityandsafetycompliance.
- LeadmishapinvestigationsandcompleteallrequiredreportingtoHHIandapplicable
Government agencies. - Prepare,maintain,andsubmitallrequiredqualitycontroldocumentation,reports,andlogsinaccordancewithcontractrequirements.
- Research,interpret,andimplementapplicablefederal,state,and project-specificregulationsandspecifications.
- Develop,implement,andmanagethe
Project Quality Control Plan (QCP). - Leadanddocument Three-Phase Control Meetings (Preparatory,Initial,and Follow-Up).
- Record,track,andmaintainlogsofallinspections,testing,andqualityverificationactivitiesperformedonsite.
- Review,coordinate,andtracksubmittals,ensuringcompliancepriorto
Governmentsubmission. - Coordinatewiththird-partytestinglaboratories,inspectors,andcommissioningagentsasrequiredbythecontract.
- Trackdeficiencies,issuecorrectiveactionrequests,andverifycompletionofcorrectivework.
- Participateinpreparatorymeetings,pre-installationmeetings,and Governmentcoordinationmeetings.
- Assistwithprojectcloseoutactivities,includingpunchlists,as-builtdocumentation,warranties,andO&Mmanuals.
Mustbeabletoworkprofessionallyandeffectivelywith Governmentrepresentatives,inspectors,andnon-governmentpersonnel.
The Quality Control Managermustcoordinatewithmultipletradesanddisciplinestoensurequalitycompliancewithoutimpedingconstructionprogress .Clear,conciseverbalandwrittencommunicationwith
Owners,Project Managers,Superintendents,and Corporate
Safetyisrequired.
- Bachelor'sdegreein
Engineeringor Construction Management - Minimum ten(10) yearsofconstructionexperience,withatleasttwo(2) yearsservingasthe
Primary Quality Control Manageronfederalconstructionprojects . - Demonstratedexperienceonfederalprojects(USACE,NAVFAC,VA,orsimilar).
- Successfullycompletedatleastoneprojectvaluedat $8millionorgreater.
- Experienceonprojectsexceeding
10,000squarefeet. - OSHA
30-Hour Construction Safety Trainingwithdemonstratedknowledgeof EM
385-1-1. - WorkingknowledgeofRMS/QCSandGovernmentelectronicreportingsystems.
- Proficient in Microsoft,Word,and Excel.
- Strongabilitytoread,interpret,andenforceplans,specifications,andapprovedsubmittals.
- Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills,includingformal
Governmentcorrespondence. - Well-developed organizational,documentation,andtime-management skills.
- Experience using Bluebeamand Procore (orsimilarconstructionmanagementplatforms).
- Mustmeet Governmentsecurityclearancerequirements.
- Mustpasspre-employmentdrugscreening.
- Valid driver'slicensewithacceptabledrivingrecord;insurableundercompanypolicy.
- Abilitytoliftupto
50poundsandperformfieldinspectionsinactiveconstructionenvironments. - Dependable,ethical,andprofessionalwithstronginterpersonalskills.
- Experienceservingas
PrimaryCQCManageronmultipleUSACEprojects. - Familiaritywiththe Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS)
- Workingknowledgeofconstructionscheduling;
PrimaveraP6orOPCexperiencepreferred. - LEEDtrainingorsustainabilityexperienceonfederalprojects.
- Experiencecoordinatingcommissioningactivitiesandsystemstesting.
- Experiencewithdesign-bid-buildanddesign-buildfederalprojects.
- AbilitytomentorandsupervisejuniorQCstaffandinspectors.
- Experiencesupportingclaimsavoidancethroughproperdocumentationandreporting.
