This is a temporary, entry level position requiring the employee to perform a wide variety of customer service functions for the accounts receivable department. Position is projected to last approximately 6 to 10 months.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Answer customer phone calls immediately, take credit card payments over the phone, answer customer account questions, provide tickets and invoices as requested. Promote customer portal.
- Respond to all customer and internal counterpart email inquiries same business day.
- Work and communicate closely with credit, salesmen, contract admins, pricing coordinators, dispatch offices, and point of sale employees.
- Account reconciliation – help internal and external customers with A/R account questions and reconciliations.
- Submit customer invoice discrepancies to OnBase rebill workflow immediately to begin research and adjustment process.
- Enter all customer contact in AR customer credit notes per account.
- Accurately post all credit card, e-Check, wire, cash and check payments for ROA and COD payments daily.
- Identify and provide Tax specialist with all short paid sales tax invoices and corresponding information.
- Customer portal administration – Help customers with account registrations, password resets, and provides portal navigation training.
- Customer refund check requests.
- Desktop deposit for physical checks received.
- Cash deposited at the bank daily.
- Daily deposit logging to ensure all transactions posted daily and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all AR payments, remittance advice and adjustments are indexed and archived in OnBase.

Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to two years related experience and/or a combination of both.
Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Database software, internet software, order processing systems, spreadsheet software and word processing software.
