The Registered Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in delivering preventive dental care and supporting overall patient health. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Review and document patient medical and dental histories
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing when necessary
- Conduct periodontal assessments and charting
- Examine gums and oral tissues for signs of disease
- Identify and report oral abnormalities or concerns to the dentist
- Take, develop, and review dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations
- Polish teeth and apply fluoride treatments and sealants as appropriate
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment recommendations
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Prepare and sterilize instruments following OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ADA, local, and state regulations
- Contribute positively to team morale and workflow efficiency
Experience with
Dentrix and Dexis is preferred.
- Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing
- Current X-Ray certification meeting state and local requirements
- CPR certification (current)
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and periodontal therapy
- Familiarity with infection control and sterilization standards
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
