Detailer, Design & Architecture, CAD​/ AutoCAD​/ Mechanical Design

Iron & Timber Co. is hiring a Detailer to produce accurate, fabrication-ready drawings and models for our custom steel projects.

This role is responsible for turning approved designs and field information into detailed Solid Works models and shop drawings that the fabrication team can build from. You will work closely with our team to detail stairs, railings, and architectural steel, making sure every drawing is precise, complete, and ready for the shop floor.

You will report to our detailing manager, who will train you on our internal detailing processes, standards, and workflows. We are looking for someone who already knows Solid Works well and has real-world detailing experience, and who is ready to learn how we do things and grow with the company. • Create detailed Solid Works models and shop drawings for custom steel projects
• Translate approved designs and field measurements into fabrication-ready details
• Detail stairs, railings, and architectural steel
• Work closely with the detailing manager and shop team to ensure drawings are accurate and buildable
• Follow Iron & Timber Co. detailing standards and internal processes (training provided)
• Catch and resolve issues in drawings before they reach the shop floor
• Communicate clearly with the team to keep projects moving and on schedule
• Maintain organization and attention to detail across active projects

• Proficient and experienced with Solid Works
• Real-world detailing experience (steel detailing preferred)
• 1–2 years of detailing experience preferred
• Excellent communicator
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn our internal processes
• Comfortable working under direction and as part of a team
