A Cardiothoracic Surgeon (MD) is sought for a locum tenens opportunity in Ogden, Utah, providing 24-hour call coverage at a Level II trauma center. This role involves managing a diverse patient load, including cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures. The facility offers comprehensive surgical services with dedicated support staff, ensuring coordinated care delivery.

Practice Info

• Level II trauma center
• Provides comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical services
• Performs approximately 80 cardiac procedures annually
• Maintains advanced surgical capabilities for both cardiovascular and thoracic cases
• Dedicated support staff includes an APP, MA, MOS, and RN
• Established clinical infrastructure and protocols are in place

Responsibilities

• Provide exclusive 24-hour call coverage
• Manage approximately 10-12 patients weekly
• Handle 3-5 consultations per week
• Perform 1-3 surgical cases per week, usually 1 cardiac and 2-3 thoracic cases
• Execute cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures as required
