Overview
University Faculty Medical Laboratory Sciences – Weber State University invites qualified applicants for a nine-month faculty position (Instructor or Assistant Professor) depending on qualifications.

Job DutiesThe successful applicant will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses and laboratories in the campus and online degree programs. Additional responsibilities will include advising potential and current MLS students, mentoring MLS undergraduate research students, and participating in departmental outreach events.
Required Qualifications- BS in MLS/CLS
- Current MT/MLS ASCP certification
- Two years of laboratory experience as a generalist or in a discipline specific clinical laboratory.
- A master’s or doctoral degree in MLS/CLS or related field is preferred. If the candidate does not have a master’s degree, they must commit to a master’s program within two years of hiring and complete the degree within four years of starting the position.
- Two years of teaching at the college level.
- Experience in any of the following disciplines: molecular diagnostics, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, phlebotomy, or biostatistics.
